A good buy

Operationally, it's an improvement over the SRM-2400SB that it replaced. Improvments to starting, re-fueling and carrying handles are nice but it does struggle a bit in tall, thick grass with the size of cut it can take. I realize this one is less powerful but the 2400 was a beast in thick weeds and grass. They probably should have reduced the overall cutting with a bit for this model. In normal conditions, it's great. It starts and runs smoother than the old trimmer, so overall, a good buy

Great Value and Great Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a couple years ago, and to this day, it runs like brand new even though it’s running at least 3 days a week. Will only buy echo trimmers from now on.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good trimmer just be patient

Good trimmer pretty impressed thus far. I was not impressed upon first use, took about 5-6 pulls to start, however after first couple tanks it really came to life. Very manageable trimmer and does well on maintenance and even on some thick stuff. Would like to try some different models for comparison.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great trimmer, you won’t be disappointed.

So once a year or two I treat myself to a quality tool or piece of equipment that’s on the higher end because I’m sick of fighting / making do with the cheaper options/brands I’ve purchased or acquired that “did the job.” Thus far, I have to say I’m very pleased with this trimmers all around performance around my yard as far as ease of starting( phenomenal compared to the Troy Built it replaced), line replacement, balance, noise, comfort/ ergonomics. My only issue is that the shaft D handle/grip has a tendency to rotate or slide back and forth a bit when using. The bolt heads have a very shallow torx head that’s likely designed so you don’t over tighten and crush the shaft or crack the mount by stripping out before it happens. Trust me, it’s not a deal breaker, just an observation and a minor issue that I think could be improved by possibly having a bead blasted/ roughed up section on the shaft where the handle mounts to eliminate any slipping or rotation without over tightening the screws. If this lasts as long as the Echo leaf blower I bought 12-13 years ago that is used 2-3 times a week for clippings in summer as well as heavily for leaves in fall and have had ZERO problems with other than a spark plug, I’d definitely recommend it and say that it’s money well spent.
