Mainly because I have sense enough to only bag when the lawn is completely dry. I see many 1 star
reviews and I can only assume that people have to wrong bagger or simply need help understanding
how it works. Also you have to have the right bagging blades.....

Be careful with this bagger. I have had the YTH18542 for 5 years and already had to replace the chute twice.

Chute comes out of Collector Gasket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first year with the mower and the Wonderful Cathy gave me a Father's Day present of the leaf catcher. It worked pretty well then the leaf chute started coming out of the gasket on the collector cover. After a bit of ciphering, figured out that opening an closing the collector to empty the bags makes the chute start to bow out away from the mower and that leaves the gasket connection to short to be stable. I put a bungie cord around the chute and the right hand seat handle. This kept the chute from bowing out. No problems since.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it about 3 weeks ago and it works great. But I did have some problems installing it. The rear bungee was to short needed to be 7 inches long. The gasket for the upper shoot needs more rivets. If you could send me the 5 rivets I’ll put the in. As for the bungee I made one that worked just fine.

Bagger is a pain to connect and disconnect

We’ve had this mower and bagger for 3 years and while the mower itself is great, the design of the bagger is seriously flawed. It’s a real inconvenience to remove the chute from the mower deck—would be nice if it were a quick-disconnect system like every riding mower I’ve had before.
