[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2 year review of my z254 zero turn. This is an ok mower. The engine is great no issues with it. However the over all mower build is kind of weak. The brackets that hold up the deck are not very strong. If you bump into anything with the deck they are going to bend which will cause your linkages to fall all dropping the deck. I am constantly fixing this myself since the brackets are warped. I took it to a shop but apparently this isn’t covered under the bumper ro bumper warranty you get. The battery is a pain to take out with a few things in the way. No huge deal on that. The bracket/nut underneath the removable plate broke off so you can’t screw that plate down anymore. Again not a huge deal. The biggest problem is just the weakness of the deck components. How easily the brackets bend specifically. If you have a city/suburb yard, flat and smooth this mower will probably last you years. If you live in the country/rural areas with large yards. Especially like mine our yard was a hayfield before will bought this land. 14 acres with 4 acres cut and a trail around the rest. Well this mower ain’t built for that. Buy a heavier duty mower for the farm bottom line.

Made my last payment a couple weeks ago and KAPOW the mower won’t quit blowing fuses. Replaced the battery. Checked all wiring. I’m at a loss. Blows 20A fuse immediately. Noticed the warranty is 3 years.. GO FIGURE. This last payment also marked my 3 years. 😒

I’ve had this thing for 2 years now and all it does is tear the lawn up on every turn, rides rough, and is extremely dangerous unless you stay on a perfectly flat well maintained golf course. The thing always wants to drift. If you cut tight corners your gonna make holes and if the wheels don’t stay perfectly flat it will shoot you off into some other direction. Super dangerous around my pond.

Never an Issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I[ve had my Z254 for 3 mowing seasons. I mow 1 1/2 acres 2x week during growing season. I have never had a single issue with this mower. I do the end of season maintenance (oil, filters, blade sharpening, grease, etc) and outside of a needed battery replacement it has never given me any problems. For my residential use I would highly recommend it.

Powerful mower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this mower for 2 years now maintaining 5 acres with lots of small trees and bushes to go around. It's doing a great job so far. I also use it to pull a small trailer for tools and clearing logs. It's powerful. Only small complaint is that since I bought it, the right side has more speed than the left. May just need an adjustment. The kawasaki motor is pretty loud too with all that power but I use hearing protection as you should with all equipment. It's a great mower.
